D-3 Women
St. Thomas vs Loras Wisc. at Stevens Point – St. Thomas 1-2 Loras (4-1 Loras shootout)
The 12th-ranked Tommie women’s soccer team saw its season end in a shootout loss Saturday after a 1-1 tie against Loras in the NCAA regional playoffs in Stevens Point, Wis. The Duhawks made all four shots in the tie-breaker to win 4-1.
Sunday
D-1 Women
U of M vs. South Dakota SU at U of M - U of M 2-0 SDSU
Molly Rouse scored in the second minute and Lindsey Schwartz added a goal and an assist to lift the Golden Gophers to their first ever appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory over South Dakota State.
Minnesota (22-3-0) will face the region’s top seed, No. 1-ranked Notre Dame (23-0-0), in the quarterfinals on either Nov. 21, 22 or 23. The NCAA committee is expected to announce the date and location of the match Sunday evening at 8 p.m.
D-2 Women
MN State-Mankato vs Metro St. Denver at Denver – MN State-Mankato 0-1 Metro State
The #16 Minnesota State women’s soccer team was defeated by #7 Metro State, 1-0, in the second round of the Division II NCAA Tournament. The NCAA appearance is the fourth in school history and second consecutive for MSU. The Mavericks finish 16-4-2 overall, tying the second largest win total in the 14 year history of the program.

Winona State vs Regis CO at Winona State – Winona St. 1-3 Regis CO
No. 3 Seed Regis University (17-6-0) recorded a 3-1 win over No. 2 Seed Winona State University (19-3-1) in second-round play of the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament held on Maxwell Field at Alltel Stadium.
D-3 Men
Carleton vs UW-Platteville at Carleton – Carleton 1-0 UW Platteville
Wes Elfman finished off a beautiful pass from Ryan Cammarota in the 79th minute as seventh-ranked Carleton College made its NCAA Championships debut a positive one in advancing past visiting
UW-Platteville, 1-0.
The win moves to the Knights (17-1-3) to next weekend’s NCAA Sectionals as one of the final Sweet 16 teams left in the bracket, as they’ll face Middlebury College at a site to be determined on either Friday or Saturday. Pete Semmer tallied four saves to record his 10th shutout of the year.

Augsburg vs Redlands CA at Redlands – Augsburg 1-0 Redlands
D.J. Wendell scores with 27 minutes left in second half and hold on through the second half to win 1-0 over Redlands University, CA. Augsburg will now face Loras (Iowa) in the Sweet 16 next weekend and a site to be determined tonight.
D-3 Women
Carleton vs Puget Sound at Tacoma WA – Carleton 1-0 Puget Sound
A goal by Cassie Burke, her 8th of the season, at the 59th minute was all it took for the Lady Knights to move onto the next round of the D-3 tournament.
