Gophers Kelsey Hood selected for and participates in WPS Combine

Gopher Sr. Kelsey Hood was one of 144 national selectees to participate in the Women’s Professional Soccer combine which was held Dec. 18-21 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Ankeny, Iowa native will graduate from the U this spring and has played the last two summers for the Boston Renegades of the W-League. In 2006 she played for the MN Lightning. She was named the defensive player of the year in the Big Ten for 2008.
The WPS draft will take place on Jan. 16, 2009 with the season starting in the summer of 2009.
