The Minnesota Thunder Academy announced today their fourth annual Winter College Showcase. Previous years showcases have been arranged by Mark Cook for Bangu. Cook said, “The showcase is a girls only event and is designed for players to be seen by college coaches from the Upper Midwest.” This years event will feature teams from Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, along with MN Thunder Academy teams. Coaches from Division 1, 2 and 3 schools, have been invited, representing the states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Cook explained, “This event gives our players and the players from the teams attending the showcase, a great opportunity to be seen by a variety of college coaches. Considering most players in our club attend schools in the Upper Midwest, this showcase gives them a great chance to be seen by coaches at the schools they are interested in attending. Each team plays three games, no scores are kept and coaches are encouraged to give each player equal opportunity to be seen by the coaches attending.”

The event will take place February 21 and 22 on the campus of St. Cloud State University at the Husky Dome. For more information go to the MTA website.
