Want to travel and coach abroad this summer…free?
Edward Andrajack will be doing exactly that. In fact this will be Andrajack’s 8th trip with P2P, which stands for People to People, an organization that offers extraordinary, life-changing educational travel opportunities for students, athletes, educators, and professionals. According to P2P’s website, they have nearly 50 years of experience, more than 400,000 alumni, and destinations on seven continents, People to People is the world’s most recognized and respected educational travel provider.
P2P Sports Ambassador Program, which is what Andrajack has been involved in, will give you several options for travel destinations. According to Andrajack, “Volunteers act as coach and chaperone on the trip and travel free of charge –airfare, hotel, and meals are included. This year’s trips are going to Holland, Austria and Brazil. P2P needs coaches in several sports: soccer, baseball, tennis, football, swimming, wrestling, volleyball, basketball, and bowling.” He added, “Coaches may apply on line at the aforementioned web sites.”
Andrajack has been involved with White Bear Lake’s soccer program for many years and he is the DeLaSalle Boys Soccer C-Team Coach. He said, “Through P2P I have traveled free and been exposed to professional Dutch coaching and attended Zico Soccer Center in Rio in Brazil. In Austria, I ran a training session together with Steve Sampson, and attended training sessions run by Kevin Fallon in New Zealand. I have also had the opportunity to coach a 17 yr old boys team to a 2nd place finish in the Brazilian Cup, and played keeper for the World against Australia Team in an exhibition game during the Kanga Cup. This will be my 8th trip with P2P and I treasure them all,” said the veteran soccer coach.
Andrajack is willing to talk to anyone who may wish to known more first hand information about the program. You may contact him here.
