2009 Thunder Supporters Scarf Design Contest

2009 Design
Have you ever secretly desired to design a supporters scarf? Every year, the Minnesota Thunder’s supporters group called the Dark Clouds design the scarf that will be the official team supporter scarf for the season.
These supporters scarves are quite popular. Some of the season ticket packages come with a supporters scarf. There are also supporters scarves on sale early on in the season. However, most years they are sold out within a short amount of time because of their popularity.
Most everyone agrees last years’ design was one of the best. It used the new color scheme of the team, and then a group of us Dark Clouds with some creative talent tweaked it until we had our final product. That scarf was one of many designs that were submitted. Some were collaborations and others were solo projects. Designs do not need to be professionally done. There have been designs submitted that were originally drawn up on napkins. It pretty much all flies when it comes to the design contest. Here are past years submissions: Past submissions looked like this: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Once again, Blue Sky Soccer.com will be hosting this competition.
Here’s how it works: Anyone is eligible to submit designs. Submit as many as you like. All submissions go into a moderator queue to verify formatting and weed out bogus submissions.

Everyone needs a Thunder supporters scarf
Submit an image in GIF, JPG, or PNG format. The dimensions should be of the ratio 54×9, because those are the dimensions of a finished scarf not including the fringes. It is best to save your design in a 540×190 file, where each side of the scarf is 540×90 pixels and there is a 10 pixel gap between them. We’ll order the scarves from the manufacturer with fringes on them, so it is not necessary to show them in your design. If you want to include fringes in your design, add extra width to your file to accommodate them. Further assistance may be had by emailing Andy at BSS.
