Just as promised by the USL powers that be, USL Live is up and running as of late yesterday afternoon. It has a pretty nice look to the interface, seems to function well and is pretty intuitive. The only issue I’ve had is USL Live doesn’t want to play nice with Safari on the registration page. I had to use Firefox to register. Conversely, Safari seems to work better when using the USL Live browser and player. So if you’re a Mac user, you may need to bounce around and try different browsers.

USL Live have already loaded in content from 2008 and the two opening games tonight are posted. I’ve already watched the highlights of last year’s Thunder 4-3 home playoff win against Vancouver.

Another nice feature I found is a chat room that fits nicely along the side of the player so you can interact with other supporters as you’re watching the event at home. Nice!!!

I’m signed up, logged in and ready for tonight’s opening kick-off between the Carolina Railhawks and my Minnesota Thunder. Spread the word, USL Live is up and running and is already loaded with features.

I found the same issue with Firefox and Safari. I found the feed sporadic, but that may have been the result of my DSL and not the site. It was nice to see the game, even if it wasn’t the desired result.

I had to log out and log back in once. Otherwise it ran great. I had tons of issues with the old USL live and had caching issue’s all the time and would have to log out and log back in constantly. The new chat drove me nuts however. You can see more thoughts on my USL week in review above.
