Gophers Set to Host Spring Classic This Saturday April, 18th
The Minnesota women’s soccer team closes out its 2009 spring schedule this Saturday as it hosts the Gopher Spring Classic at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in St. Paul.
Admission is free for all games and the action gets underway at 9 a.m., when the Golden Gophers take on Nebraska. Drake and North Dakota State square off in game No. 2 at 10:30 a.m., before the Bison battle Nebraska at 12:30 p.m. The final match of the day between Minnesota and Drake kicks off at 2 p.m.
Minnesota defeated Iowa State, 3-0, in its last outing on April 4 and brings a 1-2-1 spring record into the weekend.
Nebraska will be the second Big 12 opponent of the spring for the Gophers, who played Missouri on March 8.
