Thunder 1-2 Puerto Rico
The Minnesota Thunder continued their woeful ways with another home loss, this time to the struggling Puerto Rico Islanders. The team had stretches of play that were good but gave away too many chances to the skillful Islanders who finished those opportunities. Minnesota lost 2-1 and are now off to the worst start in the team’s 20 year history with 0-5-3 record and only 3 points in 8 games. Worse yet, the team was only able to muster 1 point in a 4 game homestand.

Lighting 6-1 West Michigan Firewomen
The Lightning went into this game high with confidence after drawing a very good FC Indiana Lionesses on Friday night. The Lightning dominated in every aspect of this game and outshot the Firewomen 25-2. Caroline Smith scored 4 goals in this contest and Rachael Chavez scored a nifty sidewinder scissors from 10 yards out for the 5th goal. Krystle Kallman finished off the route in the 85th minute.

Rochester Thunder 2-1 St. Louis Lions
There is no news or stats available yet for this game, but this is the third home win in a row for our Rochester Thunder PDL team. Neil Cassidy has the team off to a very succesful inagural campaign as the team is now 3-2-0.

Islanders are a good side, but this is really starting to hurt!
