Lightning give up early goals and take first loss of year
The Lightning made a game of it, but not until the Chicago Red Eleven were already up on Minnesota 2-0 eleven minutes in. The team fought hard against the Midwest Division’s first place team. Six caution cards were given to the Lightning and Kylie Kallman was ejected with a red card.
“After the first two goals, it was a pretty good game. They jumped on us right at the beginning but it was a battle after that.” Lightning head coach Danny Storlein
The Lightning continue their road trip before returning to Minnesota, playing nationally rated and 2nd place FC Indiana. Then the Lightning are back in Blaine for three matches. The first game of the home stretch will be the Cleveland Internationals on Saturday, June 27 at 5:05 p.m. and it is the first game in a double header with the Thunder when they face off against the Rochester Rhinos at 7:35 p.m.
