Schedule set for championship Saturday at Schwan’s USA CUP soccer tournament

Schwan’s USA CUP, presented by PUMA, ends with championship games Saturday

schwansusaBLAINE, Minn. (July 24, 2009) – Championship games for all divisions of the 25th annual Schwan’s USA CUP, presented by PUMA, will be played on Saturday, July 25, at the National Sports Center (NSC) in Blaine, Minn., 20 minutes north of Minneapolis/Saint Paul.

This year’s tournament features over 13,000 athletes on 841 teams from 26 states and 12 countries, making it the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere. An estimated $17 million in out-of-state economic impact is expected to be generated from the event.

Some divisions still have to play semifinal games Saturday morning, which will feed into a championship game in the afternoon. Other divisions completed their semifinal games Friday evening.

Parking and admission to all games is free.
