Discussion of Nike’s Sale of USL to NuRock and the TOA’s Reaction

by Brian Quarstad

Kartik Krishnaiyer of Major League Soccer Talk invited me onto his show to discuss the ongoing situation between the USL-1 Team Owners Association (TOA) and the United Soccer League. As you know, the USL announced Nike’s sale of the league to NuRock Holdings last week after a supposed high bid was awarded to a group headed up by Jeff Cooper of St. Louis. Since then, there have been press releases and statements by both parties.

Kartik, Ben Rycroft of the Metronews Canada and yours truly review the happenings of this past week and discuss what may lie in the future for the league and the TOA.

Please hop on over to MLS Talk and listen to us discuss this ongoing situation.

Please note: Ben Rycroft starts the segment off and the audio gets poor at times. You can try to listening through it but I join in about 10 min. into the conversation so either fast forward or be patient.
