A personal note from Mikki Denney Wright to readers of Inside Minnesota Soccer:
Our program would like to invite the Minnesota Soccer community to come out to our Rock the Robbie event this weekend at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. Attendance is $1 for everyone for both games. We are trying to break our all time attendance record (1751) for our game on Friday, Oct 16th vs. Penn St at 7pm at ELR. You can watch the 2008 defending Big Ten Champs go head to head in a great match up. 17 of our 20 players were raised and developed in the great Minnesota Soccer community… come support YOUR team!

I keep saying it but Mikki Denney Wright has her team playing a very attractive and positive brand of soccer. Speed of play and conditioning is essential to Mikki’s teams and the Golden Gophers are always ready to spring into an attack with numbers. The games are entertaining and the venue is fantastic.
The Gophers are playing some great soccer right now and have come together as a team better than many had expected after losing key seniors to graduation. Minnesota heads into this weekend tied with the Wisconsin Badgers for 1st place in the Big Ten. These home games are crucial and so are you. Let’s help the Gophers by becoming their 12th man on the field and lets bust that old attendance record. With a $1.00 admission (students free), you have no excuses.
