Uruguay vs Argentina LIVE at the Sweetwater

ot of inquires the last two days wondering if the Sweetwater would be showing the Uruguay vs Argentina game. As of today I can happily say, YES! Saeed has enough requests that he will be showing the game live from Centenario, Montevideo, Uruguay starting at 5:00 p.m. CT.
I think most of you know what’s at stake here for the Argentinians and the Uruguayans. This is the last game in a tough qualifying group and Brazil (33-pts), Paraguay (33-pts), Chile (30-pts) are in. Argentina sit in 4th place with the final spot and 25 pts. Uruguay are only one point back at 24 pts. As previously mentioned, the game is in Uruguay. A draw or a win for Argentina books them a spot to South Africa. Uruguay need to win this game to make their way through to the 2010 World Cup and knock the powerful Argentinians out.

Of course, the REALLY important game (at least to me) is Chile:Ecuador – Ecuador’s sitting on 23 points after Saturday’s choke at home against Uruguay, but with a win against Chile, they could grab the playoff spot – or qualify directly if URU:ARG ends in a draw! It’s win or watch it on TV, baby!
