Great interview…one question: Why no mention of Shattuck with Teal? It seems a natural talking point with an athlete that spent his time at a Minnesota boarding school.

Teal’s dad, Alex Bunbury, played internationally for Canada and was very successful, I would imagine Alex will have some influence on Teal’s decision.
If Teal can translate his college performance into a pro career it will be something to watch. I remember seeing his father play for the Hamilton Steelers in the old CSL before he went to Portugal, I really hope its a case of like father like son.
Rumours are that San Jose may be interested in drafting him, if so there is another influence guiding him towards playing for Canada – former National Team Coach, Frank Yallop.
Teal Bunbury playing in MLS and playing for Canada, that’s what I’m hoping for.

Interesting dilemna. On the one hand it would probably be an easier path to have the opportunity to play for Canada, but then on the other hand the last time Canada was in the World Cup was 1986. Big fish-little pond or potentially little fish-big pond.

I recently commented on Teal Burnbury when you wrote too little attention was given to his on-field performances.
