NSC Fills Soccer Team’s Ticket Sales Position
IMS learned on Wednesday that the National Sports Center have filled their new soccer team’s sales position. Barclay Kruse, Media Director for the NSC, reported that they have hired Rich Zellmer for the position. Zellmer started his first day at the NSC on Wednesday. According to Kruse, Zellmer has a broad experience in ticket and event sales with several different sports organizations including the Timberwolves (inaugural year), the Vikings and several golf events and non-profit fund-raisers.
Zellmer appears to have a website promoting his sales skills where you can find an endorsement from AEG Executive Tim Leiweke. Leiweke is President & CEO of the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Kruse said, while Zellmer would not characterize himself as a soccer insider, the NSC have hired him for his broad ticket sales experience, especially in the broader sports market.

I just got a e-mail saying season and individual tickets are now on sale.

Prices have been raised from last year, no? Also there are a lack of “flex” package options, which have historically been my prefered choice.
Josh, the website and ticket page clearly states that all season tickets are flex. Also, prices increased about $1-2 per game and there is no longer a $5 option.
Actually both reserved and pitch side seating has gone up $5 this year to $20 and $30 respectively. With that said looks like I’ll just buy a general admission ticket a few days in advance to whatever games I plan on going. $11 to sit in section 10 isn’t that far off from the dead midfield $15 spot I normally sat at. That $9 saved can easily go towards another game’s ticket.
Demo man, won’t you miss your seat back?
Super, I didn’t see that. I only noticed that the Supporters package an an asterisk denoting, flex. Thanks.
We only need 8 more players and a mascot!
Cvilikas has signed!
super rookie: Section 10 isn’t that far off from where I normally sit so its not that big of a deal.
How much are tickets for the beer garden?
The tickets are reasonably priced, compared to the ticket prices from other teams.
Beer garden seats look to be the $13 at the door/$11 pre-sale tickets.
Raising ticket prices in a sour economy isn’t a good move…especially if the team isn’t a winning product. Maybe they think they will make more even with fewer fans in the seats?
You got a really useful blog I have been here reading for about an hour. I am a newbie and your success is very much an inspiration for me.
