The NSC Minnesota Stars soccer team announced their 3rd signing on Friday in Brian Cvilikas. The Colorado native played his college soccer at Old Dominion University from 2002-2005, and he was the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year in 2005 and led the CAA in scoring with 30 points and 15 goals.

The New York Red Bulls drafted him in the third round in the 2006 MLS draft, where he played with the reserve team.  He played with the Virginia Beach Mariners of USL-1 in 2007 and the Wilmington Hammerheads of USL-2 in 2008. He was brought into the Minnesota Thunder in late 2008 by then coach, Donny Gramenz.

In 2009, Cvilikas appeared in 24 games for the Thunder and logged in 1,357 minutes, scoring 5 goals with no assists for an average of 271.4 minutes played per goal or approximately a goal every 3 games played.

“It’s a great place to play, they’ve got such a great facility, and the fans create a great atmosphere to play here,” said Cvilikas.
