Minnesota Kings Haiti Benefit Match v Twin Stars Sunday
Minnesota’s newest National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) team, the Minnesota Kings FC, will be playing two matches this weekend against Minnesota’s first NPSL team, the Twin Stars. One match on Saturday and the return leg on Sunday. Kings owner Tim Haselberger came up with the Haiti benefit shortly after the devastating earthquake hit the island nation in January. The game at Mounds View High School on Sunday May 23rd at 5:00 pm against the Twin Stars seemed like the perfect draw to get lots of people out to discover the Minnesota Kings and NPSL soccer in Minnesota. It also helps the people of Haiti by you, the fan, bringing a non-perishable canned food item for a $1.00 discounted admission to the game. Tickets are $5.00 without a food item.
There will be raffles for the cause as well. Prizes are: Replica Kings Jersey Signed, Tanning Packages, Gift Certificate to Perkins, Weekend Stay at Grand Casino Hinkley and a Kings Season Pass.
PLEASE, be generous and bring lots of food to help the people of Haiti, many who are still struggling from day to day for their daily needs. You’ll get to see some good soccer, get a cheap ticket and help our Haitian neighbors all in one fell swoop this weekend.
Come out to the Kings v Twin Stars game this Sunday, May 23, at 5:00 pm. See you in the stands of Mounds View High School!

Interesting to see that the owner is on the roster. Maybe I should start my own team. InsideMnSoccer FC
How could I not support a team with that name Michigan Mike!
My entire team would consist of people that post comments on the site… I think we would probably get crushed.
Perhaps, but we’d most likely be the best post game beer drinker’s of any other team and have the best comments about the state of soccer in Minnesota even though none of us could agree on anything. But it would be a healthy dialog.
If you’re willing to have a middle-aged youth soccer coach who never played organized soccer as a kid, I’ll sign up… I esp. like the part about the post game refreshments.
I wonder what the logo for InsideMnSoccer FC would look like.

Something like this.
What am I missing? I don’t get it.
Nothing, just trying to come up with new ideas. I would say that Ginger Pot Pie is in the lead thus far.
