NSC Stars to face RailHawks in League Quarterfinals

The Stars face the RailHawks at NSC Stadium in Blaine at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

BLAINE, Minn. (Oct. 3, 2010) — The NSC Minnesota Stars will take on the NASL Conference champion Carolina RailHawks in the first round of the USSF D-2 Pro League playoffs. The RailHawks claimed the second overall seed in the playoffs on the league’s final weekend with a 3-1 win over the Austin Aztex.

The Stars face the RailHawks at NSC Stadium in Blaine at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The second leg of the total-goal series is in Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Tickets for next Wednesday’s game in Blaine go on sale Monday morning. Pre-order tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Day-of-game prices are $13 for adults, $8 for children. For tickets, visit NSCMinnesota.org/tickets or call (763) 792-7333.

    Unfortunate that the game is at the same time as the Twins playoff game… This is going to hurt attendance.

    For sure. Not that the NSC hasn’t been to blame for some of the attendance issues this season, but they really haven’t caught a break this year either.
