NSC Stars Open Playoffs Tonight
The NSC Stars will open their first ever playoff series tonight against the Carolina RailHawks. Kickoff is at 7:00 at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minnesota.
Minnesota is 2-0 against Carolina this season wining 1-0 at WakeMed Park on April 16 and again 1-0 at the National Sports Center on September 15th.
Both teams are hot coming into this home and away matchup. Carolina has won three consecutive matches since losing to Minnesota and that win started a 4-game win streak for the Stars.
Former Thunder goalkeeper Nic Platter will not be making the trip with Carolina. He sprained his right mcl and ankle in practice several weeks ago. His last game was on Sept. 18th away at Crystal Palace Baltimore. Expect Eric Reed in goal for Carolina.
David LaVaque of the Star Tribune has a nice piece in today’s paper about the new scoring tandem of Devin Del Do and Simone Bracalello. The two have combined for five goals and two assists in the past four games.
The NSC Stars check in with their matchups.
The second leg of the total-goal series is in Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 9 which will be streamed live online.
Bruce McGuire of duNord Futbol and Brian Quarstad of Inside Minnesota Soccer will be presenting the duNord/IMS NSC Stars Players of the Year Awards at tonight’s game.
Tickets for tonights’s game in are $11 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Day-of-game prices are $13 for adults, $8 for children. For tickets, visit NSCMinnesota.org/tickets or call (763) 792-7333.

We Believe – Go Stars
Darn I am proud of these young men.
As someone who has been at every home game this year, and a couple on the road, it has been a treat to watch this team succeed and improve. Right now, we have two forwards that can get the job done, and a much improved midfield and defense. The pieces are there, they are going to raise even more eyebrows around the league with their strong play!

Are there still tickets available?
Of course there are still tickets available. With attendance being down 50% this year from last season’s Thunder according to BigSoccer.com.
And everyone knows, if there’s a source to be trusted it’s Big Soccer.
But that is probably pretty close to accurate. But as we all know the Thunder padded their numbers. The NSC Stars do not.
That actually used your site as a source in the article. Also Bill Archer gave you a shout out the other day telling people to read your site.
