United Soccer Leagues Unveil New Logos

The United Soccer Leagues have unveiled new logos for their existing Premier Development League, W-League, Super-20 League and Super Y-League.

USL also unveiled new league home pages for each of the league’s new brands and merged the former USL First Division and USL Second Division pages into a single USL PRO home page.

While I think the new logos are decent enough, anyone who reads IMS knows I’m not a big fan of the pentagon paneled soccer ball, otherwise known as the “Bucky ball”, always having to be on soccer logos in the U.S. But I am glad that all teams representing these leagues will have a new common logo (hopefully) displayed on the uniforms of each of their respective league teams.

As I’ve stated here previously, I’ve felt that the USL logo itself was outdated the day they released it which has to have been about five years ago now. I hope there’s a plan in store for that as well.

At least this series of logos looks like it was professionally produced unlike some of the other stuff we have seen from teams and league in the recent past…

These folks spend more time re-inventing themselves than trying to run a professional league. Just another indication they have their heads firmly wedged inside their colons. If you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.

Wow, YAWN so much hating going on the USL. Instead of just talking smack, if you think the USL is doing such a poor job in everything they do why don’t you offer your constructive criticism. Because I can only assume that despite the new ownership changes at the USL, the new direction the league has taken, etc. that you must know something everyone else doesn’t know. Please feel free to enlighten us with how bad USL is ruining soccer in the US. I mean they’re only giving a chance for kids, amateurs, and professionals play below the MLS. They must be pretty messed up sick people, who are only interested in exploiting others for a crazy profit (via lower division soccer)! They must clearly be the bane of soccer in America. I would like to thank you and all the other haters from the comments from the last couple weeks for all your insight and contributions for helping grow US Soccer. I’m not saying anything is perfect, but please grow up and realize that if there are people out there making an investment in helping grow soccer in the US under the MLS, we are quite lucky.
