Minnesota Stars Set Kickoff Times for 2011 Season
BLAINE, Minn. (FEBRUARY 7, 2011) – The NSC Minnesota Stars announced Monday the completion of the home schedule including kick off times for the 2011 North American Soccer League season. All 14 league home games will be played at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minnesota with 13 of the 14 home games starting at 7:30 p.m.
All games will kick off at 7:30 p.m. except the August 27 match against the Montreal Impact, which will kickoff at 7:05 p.m. to help accommodate Radio Canada, which will televise the game nationally in Canada. Although most games are on weekends, a consistent start time was important to the team, and the later start time will help ease traffic woes for the team’s weekday matches.
The July 4 matchup will correspond with Blaine’s Blazin’ Fourth festival. Fans will be treated to prime seats for the city’s annual fireworks display following the game. The team will also play two matches during the Schwan’s USA Cup tournament hosted by the National Sports Center.

I already have the dates/times on the calender. I have heard through the grapevine that the NSC will be operating the concessions and beer garden this year. I have been promised that Hot Nuts will be sold–in the beer garden and we will not be forced to walk to another part of the stadium to get Hot Nuts. I did not hear what beer will be sold. As a result, I would encourage lovers of good tasting beer to make your opinions known to the NSC on this very important issue.
