IMS is honored to be a supporter of the inaugural Gala 4 Goals, a Benefit Event for The Sanneh Foundation with a Silent Auction and The Sanneh Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards. Guest Speaker is U.S. National Team Coach Bob Bradley.

MINNEAPOLIS (Feb. 9, 2011): U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley will serve as the distinguished guest speaker for the inaugural Gala 4 Goals on Sat., March 12 at 7 p.m. at TFC Bank Stadium. Tickets for the event are on sale now at gala4goals.com.

This very special formal evening will include fabulous appetizers, a cash bar and silent auction with unique soccer items and experiences. Dancing to the sounds of DJ Jake Rudh will follow presentations of The Sanneh Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards and High School Leadership scholarship awards.

Unique sponsorship opportunities are available including front row seats for the program and tickets to a special VIP gathering before the event with Bradley. The U.S. National Team coach will share his insights on the state of soccer in the United States. Gala 4 Goals is supported by the NSC Minnesota Stars, Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and Twin Cities Orthopedics.

Guests will have the chance to bid at a silent auction for autographed sports memorabilia including jerseys from past and present National team players, personal soccer lessons from former World Cup star Tony Sanneh, and much more.

Local Minnesota soccer legends Buzz Lagos and Tony Peszneker will be presented with the Sanneh Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Lagos is a legendary figure in Minnesota soccer as a coach, mentor, and ambassador for the game. He is the founder and former head coach of the Minnesota Thunder where he led the team to four A-league Championship matches (1998, 1999, 2000, 2003), winning the championship in 1999.

Peszneker was a former member of both the Minnesota Kicks and the Minnesota Thunder. He was the NSCAA coach of the year in 2003 and is a member of the Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Sanneh Foundation, started by St. Paul native Tony Sanneh, whose mission is to use the appeal of soccer to unite diverse communities and help children achieve success on and off the field. The Foundation helps those around the world by teaching life lessons through the game of soccer while building cultural capacity and understanding, and fostering community building.

Other notable supporters of the event include Coerver Coaching Minnesota, Fit Studios, IMSoccer News, Joy of the People, Michelbobs, Preempt Health, and Skillzys. For more information, visit thesannehfoundation.org or The Sanneh Foundation on Facebook.com.

Sounds like a great event for a very worthy foundation.

Too bad Bradley is speaking or I would have more interest in attending

They should have seen if Nice Purse was available to perform, I don’t think they’re in NYC that week.

Oh wait, the MYSA is a sponsor? I don’t think they would want me there.

Does “formal” mean a clean warm-up or something that involves a jacket and tie?

    :-)

I will probably burn a Ricardo Clark jersey outside of the event… Might be wearing a Jurgen Klinsmann kit as well…

I’ve purchased my tickets and hope to see everyone at the TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday evening. It’s going to be a fantastic event and a great time mingling with so many influential figures associated with soccer in Minnesota.

I hope to see you there!
