Come join Minnesota supporters of the Men’s National Team, along with readers of IMSoccer News, for a US National Team watch party.

The US National Team plays Paraguay in a friendly on Tuesday, March 29 with a 7 p.m. CT kick off. The game will be carried live from LP Field, Nashville, Tenn. on Fox Soccer Channel and Telefutura. Fans can also follow the match live via ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker and on Twitter.

The U.S. team traveled to Nashville with 21 players after Edson Buddle was released back to FC Ingolstadt. The team will dress 18 players on match day.

–The U.S. holds a 2-1-2 lifetime record against Paraguay, posting three shutouts. In addition to a 3-0 victory in the 1930 World Cup (July 17 in Montevideo, Uruguay), the USA collected a 2-0 win on July 6, 2003 in Columbus. The teams last met at the 2007 Copa America in Venezuela, where a young U.S. team fell 3-1 to the Paraguayans in Barinas after entering halftime with an even scoreline.

–The last meeting was a thrilling 0-0 draw on June 8, 2008, in the USA’s last match at Giants Stadium in front of a record crowd of 78,682 fans. That game concluded an incredible stretch of 11 matches for the U.S. that saw road matches against England and Spain, and was the USA’s final match before the start of 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying.

–Jozy Altidore has a great history at LP Field, having become the youngest U.S. player in the modern era to score a hat trick when he tallied three in the 3-0 victory against Trinidad & Tobago in 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying. The U.S. lineup that day: 1-Tim Howard; 2-Frankie Hejduk, 3-Carlos Bocanegra (capt.), 5-Oguchi Onyewu, 7-DaMarcus Beasley; 8-Clint Dempsey (16-Sacha Kljestan, 84), 12-Michael Bradley, 4-Pablo Mastroeni, 10-Landon Donovan, 11-Brian Ching (6- José Torres, 81), 17-Jozy Altidore

–Paraguay lost 3-1 to Mexico on Saturday afternoon in an international friendly played before a sellout crowd of 48,110 at Oakland Coliseum.

I can’t wait to watch Altidore tomorrow night. He is by far the best player to ever put on the USMNT kit. Why stop at three goals? I predict he is going to score a double hat trick!

I like the prediction. If he doesn’t score 6 goals I am guessing people on the site will give you a hard time about it.

    My prediction:

    USA 2 Paraguay 1

    Par- Onyewu (OG)
    USA- Dempsey
    USA-Onyewu
