Kassey Kallman and Catie Sessions Called Up to U-20 WNT
Woodbury, Minn. native Kassey Kallman has been called into the U.S. Women’s U-20 National Team once again. This time she will be joined by former high school teammate Catie Sessions, also from Woodbury, Minn. Both have been called into a training camp at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. running from April 23-30. This is Sessions’ first call up to the U-20s. Sessions attends UW Madison.
The U-20s are preparing for qualifiers for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Uzbekistan. U.S. Soccer Technical Director April Heinrichs has called in 26 players, 11 of them in college. Of the seven forwards called up, just one is in college, at Wake Forest – striker Katie Stengel. The U.S. U-20s will scrimmage against UC Irvine during the camp as well as against the U.S. U-23 and the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Teams, which will be holding concurrent camps.
