Week #3 NASL Players of the Week: Etienne Barbara & Daryl Sattler
Etienne Barbara
The Carolina RailHawks’ Etienne Barbara’s 3 goals in 3 games has earned him this week’s NASL Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3, the league announced on Monday.
Barbara, who didn’t really have much time to train with the RailHawks before playing his first game for the team, came straight from his team in Malta, Hibernians, where he played this winter. Barbara is Maltese and has scored over 70 goals in the Maltese Premier League since 1999. His goal in last Wednesday evening’s game against FC Edmonton helped his team to a 2-0 win, which gave the Canadian side their first loss of the season.
FC Tampa Bay’s goalkeeper, Daryl Sattler, has been stellar in goal every game for the Rowdies and that has earned him NASL Defensive Player of the Week.

Daryl Sattler
Sattler leads the league with 17 saves, and FC Tampa Bay has allowed just two goals, tied for the second-fewest allowed in the league so far. In the season opener against the Montreal Impact he made 8 saves to keep his team in the game until a late goal from his teammates assured FC Tampa Bay its first win.
On Saturday Sattler made 4 saves, helping his team to a 0-0 draw and a point away in Montreal.
