Minnesota Stars vs. Ft. Lauderdale Strikers Extended Video Highlights

2011 May 9

As many of you know and as I posted earlier today, the live stream of the NSC Minnesota Stars vs. the Fort Lauderdale Strikers game was not available Saturday evening because of technical issues. The Stars have now released an extended video highlight package, although I seem to remember more Strikers highlights than what seems to be in this video.

Wow, Wheeler should’ve done better with that chance early in the match.

The goal by Minnesota was great. And Matt Glaeser made a great save at the end that probably saved us a point. Exciting game.

Is it me or is Hvataly always asking for the ball during a free kick?

Simone showed us how it is done.

Yes, and he’s also always yapping at the ref as well.

Who was playing left back? That pass across the back and Stewart’s jersey tug was terrible. I am sorry, but Stewart should be sitting with a red card. Ugh!

The referee struggled on Saturday. Stewart’s foul was red cardable (and probably should have been), but Simone’s second yellow was not a cardable offense. It was a foul, but not worthy of a card. It was a very weak yellow which turned into a weaker red card.
The referee allowed his emotions to take over.
