Love the song. Stirs all sorts of emotion and it’s a beautiful cantata.

and tomASS, you called it. BARCA! BARCA! BARCA!

God bless Fox 9 for their amazing coverage of “The World Cup” today.

I think the Cantata needs to be delivered by a baritone, great song needs a better presentation

SI already had a comment about how Fox dumbs down the game too much. Totally agree in this case

Michael Strahan doing in a pregame bit comparing futbol to football?? I almost lost a perfectly good mouthful of vodka then.

I am primed for a Stars game tonight, but I am no condition to drive and my wife refuses to be my chauffeur. If you see a person wearing a Norwegian Men’s National Team jersey hitchhiking from the SW suburbs heading north, give him a ride.

Manchester United the best team in England.
FC Barcelona the best team in the World.

Great performance by both teams. Both performed with class on and off the pitch.

United didn’t resort to dirty tactics when they were losing. Barca provided honor guard for Man United players when they were about to get their medal. Both managers respect each others before and after the game: no trash talking before the game, no gloating, no bitter statements after the game. They might not make the news with their attitudes but they show how things should be conducted.

Listened to the ‘Anthem’ on repeat on my way to the Sweety, while wearing my team colors, and was rewarded with a master display. Great crowd at the Sweety with both the bar and restaurant area full of viewers.
