Minnesota USSF Development Academy Teams End 2010/11 Season This Weekend at Home

Minnesota’s four USSF Development Academy teams conclude there inaugural season this weekend and both the Minnesota Thunder Academy (MTA) and Shattuck-St.Mary’s (SSM) do so with a pair of home games.

The MTA teams will play their games on Saturday and Sunday at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. SSM will play at Parade Field on the academy grounds.

Both the U-15/16 and the U-17/18 teams play in their respective age group but are in the Central Conference and play in the Frontier Division.

Both the MTA and SSM U-15/16 teams have played pretty evenly and are each tied for fourth place of 8 team in the Frontier Division.

Minnesota Thunder Academy U-15/16:     GP-12,  W-5,  L-4, T-3,  Pts-18, GF-12, GA-14.
Overall  they have played 19 games and are  9-5-5 with 32 pts.

Shattuck-Saint Mary’s Soccer Academy U-15/16:   GP-12,   W-5,  L-4. T-3,  Pts-18. GF-16. GA-15.
Overall they have played 19 games and are 8-5-6  with 30 pts.

SSM has had a slightly more successful first season than MTA in the U-17/18 Central Conference, Frontier Division. SSM is tied for 5th place of 8 teams while MTA holds that last place in the division.

Shattuck-Saint Mary’s Soccer Academy U-17/18:  GP-12, W- 4, L-3, T-5, Pts-17, GF- 24, GA-19.
Overall they also played 19 games and have a  5- 6-8 with 23 points.

Minnesota Thunder Academy U-17/18:  GP-12, W-2, L-8, T-2, Pts-8, GF-16, GA-30.
Overall they have played 19 games and have a 3-12-4 record with 13 points.
