Omar Salgado celebrates his opening goal.

Goalkeeper Cody Cropper and his U-18 US National Team defeated Israel in their opening game of the 2011 Milk Cup at Ballymena Showgrounds, Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Both teams had chances and a 0-0 score at the end of the half was fair.

In the 53rd minute a goal from Omar Salgado, assisted by Jose Villarreal, broke the deadlock. Jerome Kiesewetter scored 2 minutes into added time to give the US an assurance goal. The assist was credited to Luis Gil. Cody Cropper is credited for the clean sheet.
