2011 Minnesota Youth Soccer Association State Tournament Results
The soccer season in Minnesota is always interesting. As a former veteran club coach for many years I know the routine well. You plan and train all winter just waiting for the weather to get nice enough to get outside and start training on real grass. But some years, like this past spring, the weather doesn’t cooperate and it seems it’s late April before you can get out on the fields and even then you struggle though lousy weather and field conditions. You finally get your first game played a week or so into May and before you know it the season is nearly over. It is, after all, only about two and half months long and soon you are preparing for the MYSA State Tournament.
While not all teams play in the State Tournament, choosing instead to compete in State Cup held in the early part of the season, the State Tournament is another vehicle for most teams to test themselves against the best of their age and classification.
This year’s tournament concluded in late July. Congratulations to all the State Tournament participants but a special congratulations go out to all the winners for 2011.

Don’t even want to tell you how long it took me to relink each one of those buggers but it’s done now and fixed. And thanks tomASS for noticing.
