Minnesota State High School Soccer Rankings for 9-11-11

2011 September 12
by Brian Quarstad

The Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) released their third coaches poll of the season on Sunday night, September 11th. The high school season is now several weeks in with league play for many starting last week, so this week’s polls have changed significantly since the beginning of the season.

The Ranking is based on 4 separate polls conducted by the MSHSSCA who ask coaches within each gender and class to vote on teams in that same classification.

One of the more interesting matchups this coming week will see a Minneapolis school rivalry take place when Class 2A Boys ranked opponents Minneapolis South (3-0-0), ranked 3rd in this week’s poll, play 6th ranked  Minneapolis Southwest (4-1-0). That match will take place next Saturday, September 17th, at Minneapolis South with the kickoff at 4:30.

Another boys 2A matchup happens Tuesday evening September 13, as #4 ranked Bloomington Jefferson (5-1-1) travels to #5 ranked Eastview (6-0-0). Kickoff for that match is 7:00 pm.

Here are the rankings for the week of 9-11-11.
