France 1-0 U.S.A
French substitute Loïc Rémy was the lone goal scorer in the 72nd minute when Marvin Martin chipped the ball over the U.S. back four. Rémy latched on to the ball knocking Clarence Goodson down in his wake and finished cleanly past goalkeeper Tim Howard. The Everton keeper had done well to keep France off the scoreboard until that moment with a particularly brilliant save in the 56th minute. Howard dove left and with his body inside the goal parried the ball away, keeping it from crossing the goal line.
The U.S. had some better possession towards the end of the match and created a few near chances themselves. But the French seemed in control most of this match as Carlos Bocanegra earned his 99th cap for the U.S. The game was played in front of 70,018 at the Stade de France.
“From a technical perspective, the shape, working, and really finding a rhythm was good,” said U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. “The real piece that was missing was scoring a goal. I told them at halftime ‘guys, you can absolutely compete here. You can go for a win.’ Obviously it was difficult after their goal. In these types of games, if you make one or two mistakes you get punished. It was still impressive how they came back. They pushed forward and were getting close. We made life very, very difficult for France, and they realized after 30 minutes there is a team that has a go at them. Obviously you want to score a couple of goals sooner or later, so I wish there was one or two.”

I can not stand Altidore’s and Dempsey’s constant flopping looking for a foul. It is just plain embarrassing.
Klinsmann stinks. Get someone like Kreis. Or Bradley again. That’s my opinion. Sorry Eurosnobs.
