One boy and two Minnesota girls made this year’s NSCAA All-American Teams.
Eastview High School’s Matthew Gweh was the only Minnesotan to be named to this year’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s (NSCAA) 2011 Boys High School All-America Team.
The junior forward finished the season the top goal scorer in the MSHSL with 28 goals which includes post season play. He was third in the state for assists with 8 and scored 11 goals in his final 12 games of the season, including his team’s only goal in a 3-1 boys 2A tournament loss to Eden Prairie in the championship game.
Gweh helped his Eastview team to a 20-1-1 season. He was honored by being named to the All-Tournament team and was earlier named by the MSHSSCA to their All-State Team.
