Well, we have an opening in the back with Lancaster having departed for Atlanta. Now Marty was a center back, and it doesn't sound like Lorenz really fits that mold, but then again, Stahl started out as a defensive MF last year, and wound up being an NASL first team selection at center back himself. Or perhaps Gordon could play centrally and Lorenz could play right back? Or maybe Shore has ideas of moving Gordon or Laing up to MF this year and using Lorenz as either a right back or left back. Having some options because you've got quality players is a good problem to have. Hopefully Lorenz can return to the form he showed two years ago.
@Gerry - Didn't the Eddies have a 2/15 deadline for reporting their stadium situation to the league? Any word on that?

“Scott is an attacking player who we feel can play in defense and in the midfield,”

I think for the most part this is a true statement. However, Scott did not fare well for the Stars last year during his loan. Quite frankly, I think Scott's real home is in the back. He was really effective two seasons ago earning a spot on the starting XI and playing on the outside/backline--he had a real nose for moving forward and being a part of the attack.

I wish the guy good luck in his return to the NASL.
