Good interview as always gentlemen. Coach Hankinson sounds like a great teacher of the game. Best of luck to him and the Scorpions this year (except against my Strikers!).

@Gerry - You KNOW I've been on cloud 9 since Saturday night! First off, we need to tell it like it is - that red card against the youngster Hassan was completely absurd. But as was apparently the case in Bayamon, going down a man seemed to improve the play of the home side. The Strikers controlled much of the game in the second half, it was difficult to tell they down a man. Lorenz played a teriffic game and made a superb cross to Herron for the winner. Restrepo was the dominant player of the match in midfield, and as long as he continues to play at that level, the Strikers will be in very good shape. Missed Orozco in the back, not sure why he didn't play, but the back four did a good job anyway, and Glaeser had a brilliant save on a breakaway late in the first half to keep the game scoreless.

All in all I'm very pleased with the way the Strikers played. They've got a nice mix of veterans and youth, and I'm seeing a lot of potential. Well, except for Morales who Shore just continues to insist on playing despite seeing nothing at all worthwhile from him. I'd love to see Otte starting in his place this Saturday. Was disappointed by the Strikers attendance, espacially in light of what we've seen other places around the league and what I expect we'll see this weekend in San Antonio and Tampa. Tight budgeting is really hurting the team this year because I think some advertising on the level some other clubs seem to be working at would make a big difference down here.

If I am not mistaken he also coached in India for Salgaocar S.C. in the I-League (top tier). Hopefully you all remember Johnny Monyengar who is a former Minnesota player, he is now playing in India.

Anyway I just want to know if you can just get one more question from Tom,

What is the difference between the quality you are experiencing here in the NASL to one of your previous stints in India?

I just want to see what he thinks the difference is between the 2nd Division of the United States to the 1st Division of India.

"Only bad players need a system." --Coach Hankinson

I can't wait to see the Scorpions play in MN...and would love to get down to SA and watch a match. This is the kind of coach I would love to sit down with post-match, drink some Surly and talk soccer. I feel stimulated after listening to this podcast and I am going to have to re-listen to it later on today so I can absorb everything. This is great stuff!

Great questions by Gerry, Jay and Brian!
