@ Strikers, i was only messing with you man, i was at the game and felt that the straight red was a bit hard. I think the officials where trying to be strict on the game due to the past couple of games with each other. I think the game would have been better w.o both cards… i don’t get why the strikers i higher in the table.. they give us the best run..

Can’t really say much about officiating this week as I unfortunately missed watching my first Strikers match over the last two years due to having had another function to attend. Needless to say I still kept track of the game via Twitter as best I could. Prior to this two game trip I said I felt the Strikers needed to come home with 4 points. They got the job done in Blaine, but couldn’t get that additional point in SA. Despite once again missing two starters in the back (NASL Best XI defenders from last year) it seems as if we were still in this game right to the end, and just couldn’t finish one chance that would have gotten a desperately needed point. All you can do now is come home and prepare for back to back games against the last place team. I know they’ve been much improved under Wynalda, but they’re still in last place, and if you want to secure your playoff spot, this is where you must win games.
