I have watched most of the women’s soccer matches and have to say that as a whole, the competition keeps getting better every year. It is great to see other countries develop their women’s programs.
There have been some great match-ups in the pool play, and look forward to the other great match-ups in the knock-out phase. In addition to watching the USWNT, I am looking forward to seeing the Brazil/Japan match.
I agree. I love the fact that the gap has been closing between the elite teams and the good one. And while I miss seeing Nigeria and Ghana in the tournament it’s good to see Cameroun and South Africa having qualified and increased the level of competition the gap in Africa.
Japan and Brazil should be interesting. Let’s see if Japan flames out after their coach instruced them to play for a scoreless draw in order to not have to change venues and cities for this round.
