if ny cosmos make noise again this year and I guarantee that MSG will show somes games do you think that will lead to NASL trying to get tv contract-if so which station do you think is better and will it increase attendance

I prefer NBC – I say ESPN is good because of those MLS game of the week commercial but fox and espn are more focus on European

I say NASL should work a deal with NBC – Just like MLS tagline is ” ALL Rise”

Miami’s name switch to Fort Lauderdale Strikers worked out fairly well for one year. I would guess that you should be able to use that as a starting point.

I would not expect them to do as well as San Antonio… but I didn’t expect San Antonio to do as well as San Antonio did. So my opinion probably isn’t worth much.

Nevertheless, I’ll hazard a quarter-educated guess that the Cosmos will near 10k for their first game (but not top it), and finish the season behind San Antonio with an average around 6k.

first you get on the f and go all the way to 179 then take the n6 all the way to hempstead terminal than transfer to the hofstra bus

Cosmos is here I wish the Sockers can have an NASL team but either that I heard that Hofstra stadium still got its football touchdown lines-if so are you serious after three years of no football program

Actually, what writes off most people from the 5 boroughs is not the $8 1-way, but the fact that after you take said LIRR, it’s still a 36 minute walk from the closest station…AFTER a 53 minute train ride (for me at least…from Brooklyn).

That’s at least a 1-1/2 hour trip to see second division soccer…gotta hope that those Long Islanders support the team well enough to get a stadium built in the city!
