Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Week

As we continue to motor on through towards the World Cup, domestic football is back as we prepare for a whole host of action across Europe and beyond.

Arguably the most exciting action, of course, will come in the English Premier League, where things are really beginning to heat up in the last few days and weeks prior to the winter spectacular actually getting underway.

Today, we’re going to take a look at five fun fixtures you should be keeping an eye out for this weekend.

Leicester vs Man City

Leicester know that there’s a good chance they’ll be in the mix down at the bottom this season but after picking up a few positive results, they’ll also realise a streak of positive wins/draws could do wonders for restoring their confidence.

Manchester City will be able to smell blood in the water after Arsenal dropped points last week but as we’ve seen from Pep’s side, they aren’t immune to slipping up in winnable games themselves.

Brighton vs Chelsea

Brighton & Hove Albion have obviously had to go through some changes in the last few weeks but now that the dust has settled, they should certainly still be focusing on a top half finish at the bare minimum.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be feeling more confident out of the two heading into the Graham Potter derby, with the manager’s return to the south coast likely serving as an emotional moment for all.

Liverpool vs Leeds

Liverpool have been on a rollercoaster ride so far during this campaign, as exemplified by their beating Manchester City before losing to Nottingham Forest within a matter of days.

Leeds, though, know exactly what position they are in, with the familiar feeling of a relegation battle leading to Jesse Marsch’s position as gaffer being in serious jeopardy.

Arsenal vs Nottm Forest

Arsenal fans probably can’t quite believe that they are sitting at the top of the Premier League table with their main focus now being to keep that stranglehold until we reach the winter break.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, will take confidence in knowing that if they can beat the Reds as they did last weekend, they should be capable of beating just about anyone on the right day.

Man United vs West Ham

Manchester United need to find more of a killer instinct in front of goal if they’re serious about finishing in the top four but right now, things are slowly starting to fall into place for Erik ten Hag.

West Ham are beginning to put the pieces in place to draw themselves closer to the familiar spot of a European push, which we don’t think is out of the question for them whatsoever.
