Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Week

As we continue to motor on through towards the World Cup, domestic football is back as we prepare for a whole host of action across Europe and beyond.

Arguably the most exciting action, of course, will come in the English Premier League, where things are really beginning to heat up in the last few days and weeks prior to the winter spectacular actually getting underway.

Today, we’re going to take a look at five fun fixtures you should be keeping an eye out for this weekend.

Bournemouth vs Southampton

The south coast derby is going to take on a different tone this time around with Southampton continuing to struggle, to the point whereby this could easily be the season in which they drop back down to the Championship.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, seem to be faring far better than they have done in previous years in the top flight, and if they keep picking up wins then they could even push away from the threat of relegation.

Liverpool vs West Ham

Liverpool bounced back into form in style with a nice win over Manchester City at the weekend, and their big hope is that they can use it to push back towards the top four – and potentially even beyond.

West Ham are starting to piece things together themselves and although there’s a long way to go, David Moyes shouldn’t be afraid of a trip to Anfield anymore.

Brentford vs Chelsea

Brentford fans could be forgiven for worrying about second season syndrome but in actuality, they’re doing quite well, all things considered. Who knows, maybe another relegation battle isn’t on the cards after all.

Their local rivals, Chelsea, are looking like a brand new team under Graham Potter – to the point where they should be one of the clear favourites to claim a spot in the top four and perhaps even win some silverware.

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Manchester United cannot help themselves from being one of the most inconsistent teams in world football and even though there have been slight improvements under Erik ten Hag, it’s not enough.

Tottenham are enjoying life under Antonio Conte a fair bit, it’s safe to say, mainly because they keep winning games despite the fact that their style of football isn’t particularly pleasing on the eye.

Leicester vs Leeds

Leicester City are in deep, deep trouble right now and if they want to try and climb away from this mess, they need to start working as a cohesive unit – and maybe consider bringing in a new manager.

It does feel like Leeds United are set for another scrap to beat the drop between now and May but at the very least, they always know how to entertain us with how they play the beautiful game.
