Five Premier League Games To Watch Out For This Weekend

The intensity of the English Premier League isn’t lost on anyone who has spent longer than five minutes watching it. This weekend, we’re set for another round of action with the majority of the clubs in the top flight being set to play.

Today, we’re going to pick out five fixtures that are particularly intriguing.

Brentford vs Burnley

Brentford have been dropping like a stone every since their initial burst at the start of the season and while their Premier League run has been fun, they need to change things up if they want to stay here.

Burnley, meanwhile, are doing what they always do under Sean Dyche – fighting. The Clarets come into this in the bottom three but a win, which is likely, will do wonders for their confidence.

Manchester United vs Tottenham

The rollercoaster ride that is Manchester United’s season shows no sign of slowing down as we enter the final few months. They should be the favourites here but in equal measure, their unpredictability won’t do wonders for fans’ expectations.

Tottenham Hotspur are equally as messed up, if not more so. They just can’t find the right kind of rhythm under the tutelage of Antonio Conte and it’ll be interesting to see if he stays beyond the summer.

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Chelsea’s world has been turned upside down as a result of sanctions placed on owner Roman Abramovich. On the pitch, though, they’re just about maintaining their composure – for now.

Newcastle United, meanwhile, could easily be described as the ‘new Chelsea’. They’ve got rich owners, the rest of English football is beginning to hate them, and they’ve got a fanbase that is hungry for success.

Leeds vs Norwich

Leeds United haven’t been filling their fanbase with confidence for quite some time and now that Jesse Marsch has taken over from Marcelo Bielsa, they’ll see the next couple games as essential to their survival.

Norwich are already down in the eyes of many and because of that, we genuinely believe they’re going to start playing with a really fun sense of freedom – which is what the Prem is about, right?

Everton vs Wolves

Frank Lampard needs to do something soon because if he isn’t careful, he could guide Everton Football Club to their first ever EPL relegation – and their first overall since 1954.

Wolves, meanwhile, are still in the hunt for European football, with their win over Watford proving that they aren’t going to give up on the top six race without a fight.
