Gareth Bale To Stay At Real Madrid?

The words Gareth Bale have been repeated over and over again during the summer transfer window, and for good reason. The entire charade surrounding his future in the world of football really does feel neverending, to the point where we just don’t know what twist or turn is going to come next.

For the longest time it seemed almost obvious to suggest that he was going to be leaving the Bernabeu, with reports indicating that he was going to end up in China. As disappointing as they may have been for a player in his prime, at least we were going to get some kind of solution to the ordeal.

Simplifying the issue

Now, though, as reported by BBC and Express, it seems as if he could stay at the club after all as the plug has been pulled on his switch to Asia. While that may be good news for some fans who want to see him get a second chance, the fact that the Welshman withdrew from Real’s squad for their Munich tournament doesn’t exactly scream ‘I’m happy at the club’.

The issues with Zinedine Zidane are quite clearly a big part of this story, and why shouldn’t they be? The Frenchman showed Bale an incredible lack of respect which is odd, given that he has been a huge factor in bringing trophies to the club ever since he arrived.

While there is still a chance that he’ll be leaving Real within the next few weeks before the new domestic season properly begins, it’s starting to look less and less likely with each and every passing day. If that means he just winds up sitting on the bench for another season, we cannot stress to you how disappointing that would be. This is a man who should be playing consistent, high level football, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Pushing on towards better things?

He may have lost a little bit of his pace, but that is always going to come in time and there’s not much you can do about that. However, his killer instinct is still there, and if that isn’t considered to be a valuable asset to clubs all around Europe, then we don’t know what is.

The Premier League seems like the most logical place for him to end up at, but with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur being the two main candidates, we aren’t holding our breath that we’re going to see any kind of substantial deal go down in the next few days.

At the end of the day, Gareth needs to do what is going to make him happy – because while he may be earning some extravagant fees during his current spell with Real, it’s quite clear to see that he isn’t particularly happy.

We don’t know what is going to make him happy and it doesn’t feel like anyone else does right now either, but to be honest, we just want to see a resolution.
