Where Will Cristiano Go?

Even at the age of 37, Cristiano Ronaldo is still one of the most talked-about players in world football.

The Portuguese veteran is of incredible interest to just about every fan of the sport across the globe and as we look ahead to the future, we’d imagine that will continue to be the case.

Ronaldo certainly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and he’ll always be a somewhat controversial figure but from a business standpoint, any club would stand to gain from having him on the books.

Following on from a tough season back in the Premier League, a lot of fans and pundits alike are eager to see where he’ll be beginning his new campaign – especially with what could potentially be his final World Cup on the horizon.

Manchester United

It does feel like the easy option but even so, staying put with Manchester United is something that Cristiano Ronaldo is probably quite hesitant to do.

Sure, it’s been nice for him to be back playing at Old Trafford, but they don’t have Champions League football to get excited about next season and the physicality of the Premier League is there for all to see.

Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are believed to be making a push to sign CR7 and if they can pull it off, it’ll mean he’s played at the elite level in England, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Germany – which is quite the resume.

With Bayern also wanting to bring Harry Kane in next summer, we’d say they’re aiming to recapture their status as one of Europe’s most consistent performers in the Champions League.

Chelsea

The advanced talks Ronaldo had with Manchester City last summer highlights to us that he’s open to moving to another Premier League club. It may be uncomfortable, but in this game, money talks.

The Blues have already made some serious moves during the window and if they’re serious about bringing in someone of Cristiano’s status, they could wind up being title challengers.

Real Madrid

In many ways it was the place that helped transform him from a star to an absolute icon. He clearly had difficulty in leaving Real for Juventus but given that they’ve just won the Champions League for the millionth time, he may want to go back.

They may be focused on the future as opposed to the past and present but even a club like Madrid can’t be too proud about a transfer like this. After all, just think about the financial benefits of it.
