Paulo Dybala Linked With Manchester United

Transfers happen every day, but in the Premier League, it always feels like there’s an extra layer of scrutiny and attention on it all. Of course, major leagues around the world all feature some pretty big transfers and moments from the minute the window opens until the second it closes – but in the Prem, mockery and questions come hand in hand on a day to day basis.

One team that is especially true for is Manchester United. The Red Devils are one of the most well known sporting entities on the planet, and that much is obvious. While they may not possess the same kind of star power now that they once did, people will continue to watch their every move in order to figure out what direction they’re going to go in next.

As reported by BBC and Manchester Evening News, one link that is really causing a big stir is that of Paulo Dybala. The Juventus forward has been heavily linked with the club in what could amount to some kind of swap deal for Romelu Lukaku.

Could it happen?

“I’m not here to talk about rumours about other teams’ players,” he said.

“We’re working on one or two cases. It’s 10 days or so before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two.”

Those are the words of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, so if he isn’t going to say it, we will: well done on being proactive. United needed to go out and get some more new faces ahead of what is bound to be a tricky campaign for them, and they’ve done just that. Sure, they’ve still got some work to do and they have to actually perform on the pitch, but the first part is done – or, at least, it will be done in ten days or so.

Dybala would serve as a really important piece of the puzzle for United, and if it leads to Lukaku leaving too, then we say go for it. Romelu has done some great things throughout the course of his time in English football, and he may even be back again in the future, but he needs a change of pace.

Making some steady progress

Italian football isn’t quite as competitive as the Premier League, and the pace isn’t either. We would expect Lukaku to consistently challenge for the Golden Boot, because despite everything, he’s still a fantastic goalscorer and deserves to be appreciated as such.

In regards to Dybala, he still really does feel like one of the most underrated forwards in European football. He’s got the kind of natural skill and ability that is always going to take you far in the Premier League, and with so many naturally talented stars around him, it feels like a recipe for success.

There are probably a few hurdles they need to get over before this gets confirmed, but the early signs are certainly positive.

Will it lead to a strong season? Only time will tell.
