@BQ, do you think Class A schools would be competitive with Class AA schools in soccer? I loved the HS b-ball tourney several years back when they had an expanded format and had Class A competing against Class AA. I know that Mahtomedi made the jump to Class AA in soccer and seemed to far pretty well. I just don’t like the concept of having two champions. Seems rather silly. (PS: I hate the hockey format of two classes. I used to cheer for Warroad all the time when they would take on and beat the larger Metro schools.)
That would be fine if they wanted to do a single championship game but overall you can’t expect small schools to compete with Eden Prairie’s, Stillwaters and such with HUGE densities to draw from.
They do it with college and I’ve never heard any complaints there.
With that said, I think Prairie Seeds Academy could compete with the best of the boys 2A.
North St. Paul is not known for soccer talent.
How did they get so good this year?
A Me_XMan sighting. I think it’s been a year since we’ve heard from you. What happened to your website? Nothing up since last fall?
I’ve become a Triathlete. Training 3-4 hours a day.
Before and after work. Good for body and soul.
Did 11 yeah 11 triathlons over last summer. Mostly 1 mile swim, 26 miles bike, 6.2 miles run.
The longest was Half-Ironman in 6 hours. 1.25M swim, 56M bike, 13.2M run.
From soccer to swimming, biking, and distance running is a lot of work.
BTW, dropped 30 lbs and in great shape!
That’s great. As for me I’m sitting behind a computer all day and all night and doing the opposite of you. But if I don’t bring you your soccer news who is going to?
You’re doing a great job my friend.
Your work is very much appreciated.
